W.I.N.S. Infant Safety App
A free public-health app from the Alabama Department of Public Health, Southeastern District. W.I.N.S. (Wiregrass Infant Net for Safety) helps parents, legal guardians, and caregivers keep infants and young children safe through age-appropriate vaccine reminders, developmental milestone tracking, infant-safety education, and the Back Seat Alert reminder feature.

W.I.N.S. brings vaccine schedules, milestone reminders, and infant-safety guidance into one place, alongside county-specific resources for families across Alabama.
Vaccine reminders
Age-appropriate vaccine schedule reminders timed to your child's date of birth, following the recommended childhood vaccine schedule.
Developmental milestones
Track milestones month-by-month with reminders and educational guidance so caregivers know what to look out for at each stage.
Back Seat Alert
An opt-in reminder that helps drivers check the back seat after a trip ends. Motion and location samples are processed on-device — live driving traces are not uploaded.
Car-seat inspection stations
Find county-level car-seat inspection stations and clinics across Alabama, with contact details and hours of operation.
Infant-safety education
Short videos, tips, and FAQs covering safe sleep, feeding, and home-safety topics curated by public-health staff.
County resources
Clinics, programs, and contacts specific to your Alabama county, kept current by the ADPH content team.
Who the app is for
W.I.N.S. Infant Safety App is intended for parents, legal guardians, and authorized caregivers who are 18 or older. Information about an infant or child must be entered by an adult with authority to do so. The app is not directed to children under 13.
W.I.N.S. focuses on the Wiregrass region and Alabama more broadly, but the educational content and Back Seat Alert reminder are useful to caregivers anywhere.
Privacy & data
W.I.N.S. is a public-health resource. ADPH does not sell personal information or use it for behavioural advertising. Back Seat Alert processes motion and location samples on your device; live driving traces are not uploaded.
